Tier 2 ICT Long term Visa- Change of Employer

Hi There

I am currently holding an ICT Tier 2 Long Term Visa with and end date of 15th December 2019.

I have managed to find a job with a different employer who is willing to sponsor my Visa as well.

In this aspect,can I please request to be enlightened on the correct route/approach? Is it possible to change employer if I have an ICT T2 LT Visa which is still valid till December 2019? What is the best way to switch the job from my current employer if I cannot have the ICT General Visa(as ICT T2 cannot be switched to ICT General lest the exceptions) and if I want to be spared from the cooling period.

Can I please request for the best advice in my case.

What date was your initial ICT visa granted?

What salary are you being offered by the new sponsor?

Note, it is not a Tier 2 ICT General Visa. It is only a Tier 2 GENERAL visa. ICT is a different category of Tier 2 visas.

I was issued the ICT Tier 2 LT Visa on 10th January 2018.
I will be offered a salary of 45K GBP by the new employer.
Can you please let me know the possibility of changing employer in my case without serving the cooling off.

Unfortunately not, you cannot change to Tier 2 General within the UK. To change to Tier 2 General you have to serve a 1 year cooling off period outside the UK before you can apply for a new entry clearance visa.

As far as I understand the Immigration Rules, only if your salary being offered is £159,600 pa or above.

If that be the case then I can ask my new employer for a new ICT T2 LT itself.

Also subject to the 12 month cooling off AND 12 months employment with the sponsor in home country UNLESS being offered a salary of at least £120,000.

Hi there,

In same situation. You mentioned about dependents. Is that something an option.

My wife have UK work experience, and can look for job again.
