Tier 2 - Incorrect IELTS Certificate

Post by jyosoni » Sat Aug 10, 2019 9:02 am

Hi All,

I have received the following e-mail.

"Regarding Visa Application: GWF05XXXXX
For: XXXXXX

We are in receipt of a Visa Application for the above-named person. We have noted that you have not submitted the correct English Language certificate. Please see our website at GOV.UK for further information.

Please forward evidence of the English Language requirement to the email address below
SheffieldDocs.RequestedIndia@fco.gov.uk

Please quote reference: GWF05XXXXX

Kind regards,

UK Decision Making Centre"

Does anyone have experience in this? Can I submit a certificate from UK NARVIC as "evidence of the English Language requirement ". Please help me.

You can submit proof of your degree if taught in English but this MUST be a NARIC ELA (Red Route).

Which English test exactly did you submit??

You are lucky HO have emailed you to send an alternative. Other members have been refused outright for submitting the wrong test.

I have submitted IELTS (Academics). But for me to submit the NARIC it will take 3-4 working days. Will they wait for that long, as in the e-mail they have not mentioned that.

I am scared about all this.

You took the wrong test for a tier 2 general. IELTS Academic is only for student visas.

You will need to do the NARIC English and Comparable assessment as soon as possible using their priority service and submit once you have it.

Thanks. Yes doing it. I am using their 24 hours service for that matter. However, the medium of instruction letter takes time to get from the university. working on it.

Hi,

I have submitted the NARIC soft copy yesterday to UK home office at the e-mail address mentioned. I received an auto email post submission. Do I need to call at UKVI to confirm if they have got the relevant docs and as well what would be turn around time for them to process the visa.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Just a correction I believe you can use either IELTS UKVI Academic/General Training for a Tier 2 visa application given that you get a CEFR B1 score

"Please note that both General and Academic Training modules are accepted. The CEFR requirement for each skill must be met."

Hi,

I agree but that needs to be UKVI IELTS, and mine was just IELTS hence submitted UK NARIC certificates.

Do you have any idea how much time does it take to process post submission.

Hi

Can you please let me know how to get the soft copy of the NARIC letter, did you scan your NARIC letter or you requested NARIC to provide you the soft copy. My letter was dispatched on 12th Sep'19 but I havent received it yet even I cant track it as I opted for standard Airmail.

Looks like you gave the wrong IELTS exam, IELTS for UKVI was required.

Regarding NARIC, they send you soft copy on email about the outcome. You may message them via the messaging facility

UKVI only needs scanned copies of your original documents. So as long as they original they are fine with soft or hard copy.
