How should be the photographs? and chat scripts provided? And what kind of photos? I'm applying with my partner as unmarried partner , we have two children of 9 and 6, I think that the birth certificates could be enough or am I wrong?
You are wrong!! Birth certificates are NOT enough to show subsisting marriage and evidence of communication.

This topic is specifically for delays, NOT for new application questions. Suggest start your own topic with your questions.

Syed, have you emailed UKVI or contacted them via phone. I sent an email 2 weeks back but have not received any response for it.

Well,
We applied on 27th July (me, wife and daughter) application decided on 14th august on all three. Got my passport on 16th august. Famìly still waiting for their passport.

Called UKVI multiple times, they have the same information as I have and they said they cannot help.

Emailed UKVI and got one reply and silence after.

Contacted the UK embassy in NL but they cannot help.

Contacted UK embassy in germany and they said they are waiting for a response from UKVI.

Met MP and he said he will help.

Can somebody give me phone number of home minister or prime minister so that I can ask them to help and return the passports of my family??

Hi everyone,
I am another victim of this ridiculous system. I applied for a Tier 2 General Migrant on July 24th and of course received an email on 4th August stating that the application was not straightforward. My sponsor is A-premium but neither do I nor my sponsor knows about the current phase of my application or my passport. We had to run a very important clinical trial and now everything is stopped because I am cannot be there on time due to SOME reason that no one knows.
Does anyone know what is the maximum waiting time frame or is it forever? We don't have any clue even after mailing and calling them. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Maks

I am done making any sense of their system. For me it seems like I will never get a decision , may even withdraw my application after a while and start over again

Seriously, we wrote them several emails and tried multiple phone calls and they have no clue about the application progress. I don't mind waiting but I have other commitments in other countries and I need my passport back for it at least. Do you know if we can ask for the passports back and send them again when the decision is made? Is there any provision like this? It may sound lame but they don't understand our situation. Keep posted if you get any news about your application. Cheers!!

I don't know about the policy of getting your passport back. I have called and emailed them so many times but of no use! Will post if I get any updates.
Good luck mate

Hi All,

I applied for Tier 2 general on May 05. On the same day, I got a sms saying that my application was forwarded to UKVI. After that, I did not receive any update. Today (June 07), I got an email: "Your online application has been received in Sheffield, UK. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer...."

It took more than one month to send my app?! Is there anyone having a similar issue?
Hey HIENNGO,

What was a result of your visa application? Did you get at the end visa?

thanks,

Kings Regard

Hey syedmidnightmoongaze,
No updates at all. My sponsor wrote again to the high commission and UK home office from London but there is just no reply on anything.
Any news from your end?

They can take as much time as they want but should either return our passports back till they make a decision or give us a precise update on where it is. Technically speaking, holding our passports back is illegal.
Earlier, we wrote to the parliament and home office but as usual they are so irritating and useless people that they don't even have the courtesy to reply back.
We are planning to withdraw our application. We are done with their nonsense and this entire story is going to newspaper for the world to know.
Keep posted in case you have any updates.
Cheers!!

Guys, if you've attach a letter from the sponsoring company explicitly explaining the duties of your job in your application and Org chart for example,
would that help the caseworker to make a same day decision?
