Tier2 General dependent can convert Tier2 general

Hi Team,

I am working on Tier2 ICT visa from last 1.9 years(At present as well). One of the company is planning to sponsor Tier2 General visa for my wife. Once she got Tier2 general then i will change my VISA type to dependent VISA.

Once i become dependent ,if someone is sponsoring Tier2 General for me after 2 months then can i change to Tier2 General VISA?

Is it required any cooling off period like 12 months? If it is required then how many day's do i need to wait?

You have to hold a dependent visa for 12 months, which is the cooling off period, before you can apply for a new entry clearance visa tier 2 general from your home country.

But for one of my colleague, he processed after 3 months and it is approved for Tier2 General Visa.

Is there any specific reason, how it will approve?
