UK tier2 dependent visa

Hi All,

I have applied for tier2 general and dependant visa in priority mode. How long does it take to hear back about the decision. Email I'd given is of my solicitor, so I am not aware of any mails from UKVI. Although I have taken VFS SMS service, but there also no update.
Has anyone used vfs sms service? How often we get updates there?
I have applied from Bangalore, india.

VFS will update only when they have a parcel to deliver. If it is priority service then letter would come after 5 days and then another 10 days for passport to arrive.

Hi All,

I applied for tier2 general visa few days back along with pbs dependant visa for my wife.
We both applied together.
I got my visa today, but my wife's passport didnt come.
VFS people told me that it's still in embassy.
Is this possible, since we both applied together.
Has anyone faced this issue?

Yes it happens. Each application is processed and assessed on its own merits. Just because you got the visa, does not guarantee your dependent will get a visa.

I see. Thank you for the quick response.
Since we had applied in priority service, can we expect a decision within 5 working days, whatever it may be.
Also, what could possibly go wrong for the dependent visa.
my wife has clear travel history and no visa refusal in past.
Also, since we both submitted application together , all the documents were also same for both of us.
just curious, as we have to make travel plans, and this has just created doubts in our mind.
