Hi everyone,

I got an email saying that I'm eligible to reuse my biometrics and I don't need to go to an appointment and in a couple of weeks I'll get another email with instructions about it.

I registered at UKVAS on 27th April. Tier2 visa extension.

Regards.

I received the same mail yesterday, online application submitted for TIER 2 ICT extension on 29th May. Is this likely to expedite clearing the backlog they have and should that mean that decisions and BRPs will be issued sooner rather than later?

Hi All,

I havent received any mail from UKVI about reuse the biometric details. I have submiited application on 10 June.
I also heard that the resuse has been applied only for the applicants who satisfy the below conditions.

"This will not be applied to all those who last enrolled their biometric before july 2015 and all the children under 18 who have not enrolled their before in last two years"

Who received mail already please can you confirm they are satified in your case.
Trying to understand those who doesnt reeive mail is falling under need of appoitnment.

Thanks

If you are going to make a statement like this, useful to post the official UKVI link where this is stated rather than what you 'heard'.

Unless it is officially stated on UKVI website, please do not post social media links. Nothing in UKVI guidance updates states this particular point yet. It does however make sense that 5 year old biometrics won't be reused because people appearances change.

Hi everyone, My wife has the same issue. Her application was submitted on 7 June, she hasn’t received any email yet even though the website states that an email should be sent before 23 July. If they are reusing your biometrics, when do they send that email?

Even if you get the biometrics reuse email, that doesn't mean that you'll get a decision soon.

As UKVI is working on a system through which we would be able to send our facial image.

I got that email close to a month back but I'm still waiting for another email wherein I could share my photo.

Hooefull it'll be there soon.

Same here, my boyfriend was told on Jul 3rd that he was eligible for re-using his biometrics but ever since then we heard nothing. I was wondering if anyone already got a follow-up email or submitted anything? He submitted his original tier 2 application on May 8th...
