Will Existing BRP return if visa refused

Today I applied (T2General) and vfs took my existing BRP (T2 ICT dependent) as well. Now in case for any reason if my visa refused will I get my existing BRP?

And is it mandatory to submit existing BRP if you have one with valid leaves?

Yes, they will send your existing BRP back if you have remaining leave

At last moment I took my BRP back as I asked and they said its up to me to submit or not. So will that be any issue. I heard that they can take old BRP at airport immigration as well.

you must send your current BRP for visa extension application, except that you lost it.

They will return you the BRP even you are refused, provided that you have reasonable of period of leave to remain on ICT dependent. If not, the Home Office will keep it (also your passport actually).

In this case, if you reapply/ appeal, you need to provide the case reference number of your previous application. So they know you have refused application and the passport/ BRP are in their hand.

If you decide to leave, you can inform the Home Office which airport you departs with date and time and your passport will be delivered to the airport.

This is not a extension. I applied for T2 genral. I have existing T2 ICT dependent leave. I think not submitting BRP shouldn't be a problem as if they grant new visa they can cancel it and even collect at UK airport. Please correct me if I m wrong.

T2 general and ICT dependent visas are 2 different categories and there is no requirement to submit your current ICT dep BRP card.

My wife has applied for tier 2 general from india on
14th. She is also currently holding BRP of ICT 2 dependent but she has not been asked to submit the BRP in original

When did you receive that email. I applied on priority from Pune on 17th. No email yet but expecting today.

Amit- I received only first email and only email on 17th after submission of documents on 14th. No SMS at all and no decision email. Got the stamped passport on 20th directly.

Received SMS on 17th about application forwarded to UK I
1st email on 18th about application prepared for ECO
And then nothing yet.
Did you opted for SMS facility?
