Hi everyone.

I applied for uk tier 4 visa on 4th aug 2020. Today on 14 aug i received email from home office that my application is not straightforward and will take longer time.
I want to know will it mean a refusal of application. My cgpa is 3.78 (87%) also i have been awarded with 2 gold medals in bachelors. I have submitted certificate of my medals as well. But i also have previous uk student visa refusal back in 2015.

Email says below.

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

No. It means what is says.

It means it will take a bit longer to process your application. Many people get this and it doesn't mean you will be refused. It's just a way for them to keep you updated about the progress. No need to panic or anything.

On 14 aug i received an email from home office Sheffield that my application is not straightforward and will take time.

On 17 aug i received email for interview. After 3 hour i recieved another email stating following

"Please ignore your email regarding an interview on 21St August 2020, sorry for any confusion caused by this we have your completed interview on our file which was conducted 04/08/2020".

Now it's 24th aug today and haven't received any respons on my application.
Does anyone have idea how long its going to take.

Could you share why your previous visa was refused? A lot depends on the reasons your previous visa was refused.

It was refused because of credibility interview. The ECO comment that I'm not a genuine student.

But it was my fault because i didn't prepare for interview.

But now my circumstances has been changed. I have completed my bachelors now and have received two gold medals. Also this time interview goes very well.

They wont consider your gold medals. But they will compare your current interview with the last one and make a decision. That is why they are asking for time. But I think you should not worry if your current interview went well.

They wont consider your gold medals. But they will compare your current interview with the last one and make a decision. That is why they are asking for time. But I think you should not worry if your current interview went well.

Hi on first day of appointment they took ur fingerprint and interview and kindly tell me how long they took Ur interview and that interview on skype or face to face plz reply me thanks

Hi james. Yes . It was skype interview conducted at vfs centre. It took around 60 min. Though there was only few questions. The reason it took long time was the interviewer lady was writing so slow. Otherwise it could have ended in 20 min

Hello There,
I have received the exact email. I gave bio metrics on 14 Aug 2020 and received that email on 28th Aug 2020.
Could you please tell me have you received another email about possible interview?

Hi uday28.

Yes i received an email for the interview. BUT after few hours of that mail. I recieved another email stating that they already have my interview conducted on the day of biometric and they told me that there will be no interview.

Where did you submit your application?

Yes they took my interview on skype from uk. It's already a month now but i haven't received my decision.

I contacted home office regarding my application and they said it's still in process.

My brother he got same email like u
But he didn’t get interview email yet
And zain what kind of question he asked u again
Did u do ielts my brother he got cas letter without ielts because he has good marks in English and he applied for c uni in London

They asked me almost the same question like before. But it was in detail. They asked me abouy the course , future plan, financial etc.

1 more think they took 2nd interview on Friday. And on Monday they re interviewed me by saying that they lost my previous interview because of system error.

This is horrible. How could they lose such an important file that too in embassy? waiting becomes horrible
