They are irrelevant to the UK immigration and citizenship processes. They don't mean anything in the UK unless from an EU country. They are only relevant to your home country.simongates wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 5:15 pmbut I have national identity number and card from home country. Isnt the question referring to this identity card number? should I still answer no?
Your application then will be withdrawn.simongates wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 4:52 pmMy question is, while my graduate dependent visa is being processed, can I travel abroad during this time while I wait for a decision?
34K. Where a decision on an application for permission to stay has not been made and the applicant travels outside the common travel area their application will be treated as withdrawn on the date the applicant left the common travel area.
The text is there - you could've just looked it up.simongates wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 9:44 pmHi,
can you please send the official reference link to this rule. I want to make sure that this is the rule as a colleague just shared that their dependant travelled outside the area while the decision was pending.
No.simongates wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 7:46 pmare there any time restrictions imposed on the period a dependant can stay outside the UK?
That would be an odd reason for this request, to say the least.simongates wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 2:51 pmIs it ok to request an escalation of the dependent visa application with the Home Office, citing the urgent need for the dependent to return to their job or internship in the home country?
No, but travelling without it would involve needing to declare it lost, applying for a single-use replacement outside the UK in order to get back, then applying for a full replacement when you return.simongates wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 6:09 pmis it mandatory to wait for BRP after the application outcome before leaving UK ?
No you cant. A dependent cannot be granted a visa before the main visa applicant is.simongates wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 11:43 amIs it possible to go for an express service (outcome in 1 week) for the dependant but a standard service (approximately 2 months) for the main applicant? And what if the dependant is granted a visa and the main applicant is rejected the visa? What will be the status of the dependant in such a case given that they would have already been granted a visa earlier.
