Maintenance Bank Balance

Lets say i have a bank balance of 50k which is on my bank statement which I am going to use for the visa application. Will I be able to use that money to pay for part of my uni fees? My worry is that the bank balance on the statement and actual bank balance after I pay for my fees will be different although it will still be above the required maintenance. I have read that it is advised not to use the money before getting the visa.
