Need help regarding dependant visa approval

Post by Kumaran » Fri Sep 13, 2019 5:07 pm

Hi all,
This is kumaran from India. I lived in UK for 4.5 years between (2010-2014)on tier 4 student visa . I overstayed for about 2 years in UK. In 2012 UK govt has removed psw visa and due to my financial situation is bad . I remained in UK and worked for cash in hand job. I left UK on my own expenses.

By then started working in India . Got married in 2015 to Indian national and had 2 kids. Now as UK govt has announced psw permit after successful completion of masters degree . I am planning to apply masters course for my wife and come to UK as a dependent (me,my 2 children). Will ukba accept my application ?

Do they ask have you overstayed in UK in dependent application? If yes can I say no I haven't overstayed ?

my situation was same but i overstayed for only 5 months as i had pending appeal.

UK home office has all the records even if you dont tell this in your accompanying letter they will get all ther records from your biometric.

You will need to make a very soild case for yourself that why did you overstayed for so long. The only advantage is that you are not the main applicant

Hello hi khan1512,
Thank you for your reply . I didn't give any biometric fingerprints while going to UK in 2010 and while coming in 2014. I think ukba is collecting biometric fingerprints from 2015.

No they are not. Biometric enrollment for visas has been in place since at least 2008, likely even before that. I certainly had to enrol biometrics in 2008 and 2010 and 2012 and again later in 2012.
