My Timeline for UKVI Tier 4
Type: Standard
Location of application: Mumbai North
Online Application: 2nd July 2019
Biometrics: 8th July 2019
Email from Sheffield: 8th July 2019

Waiting for more update on this.
Can anyone tell me the exact comments they received from Sheffield?
I just received a confirmation email that my application has been received by them. Nothing apart from this was mentioned.

Also please state your application type (Standard/Priorit).
I received my Visa today. Just one last doubt, regarding duration of Visa. I have received the visa which is valid from 18th September 2019 to 18th October 2019. However in the letter received the valid upto date is 16th February 2021. Will these four months be added on BRP or do we need to p extend the visa?

Your initial visa is 30 days, your BRP is valid from date of issue, likely on or around the end of the 30 days. Not sure what in the process is unclear or what 4 months you are referring to.

That's the vignette sticker for the initial entry into the UK that is valid for one month. Once you enter the UK you can collect the BRP within ten days from the address specified on the letter. The original visa validity is mentioned on the BRP.

You wouldn't need to extend your visa. Your BRP would allow you to live upto a year and 4 months.

Gave Biomerics on 26h July 2019 (VFS New Delhi).
received that documents have been reached Sheffield ofc on 29th July.
No information nothing for 25 days.
Called UKVI on 20th August 2019. Told it is still undergoing a background check,
Received mail from VFS that I need to resend the documents.

No further information since.
Still waiting for VISA and decision. :(

All the best to everyone who received their VISA.

Hello everyone!

Priority service

Application: 26/08
Walk-in Service Biometrics: 26/07
SMS from VFS stating GWF was forwarded to UKVI: 26/07

Applied from kuwait! Anyone here who have used Priority service before? Stressed out so I'd like to know the timeline for Priority services.

Two points to note:

** I'm British with a Passport, working in the UK.

** Spouse and I had been denied American visit visas some years prior, we felt this would cause a delay but apparently it didn't. We mentioned the reason for the refusal on the application form.

Visa Type - Standard
29th July - Online application submitted for spouse (main applicant) and child (dependent)
30th July - Biometrics (only picture taken for child)
31st July - Interview (main applicant only)
1st Aug - Acknowledgement from Sheffield office for both applications.
19th Aug - Called UKVI for update on both applications, was told decision had been made on 16th Aug for both.
26 Aug - Application transferred to VAC.
26 Aug - Application received by VAC.
26 Aug - Received SMS and email from VAC for passport collection.
27 Aug - Passports with vignettes delivered via DHL 😁😃😁😃

I'm experiencing massive delay.

I applied from singapore.

Timeline
4 july 2019 - email confirmation from sheffield decision center

No respond after that - also no mention if any document issue.

19 aug 2019 - email enquiry. They say they will escalate my case

26 aug 2019 - phone call uk visa. They say my case is escalated and under review

29 aug 2019 - as of today, no respond from uk visa

Any advice?

Hello, sorry to hear your timeline, I know how it feels as I myself experienced a delay (not as bad as yours although I paid priority, 13 days in total - got my visa on Friday and planned to fly on the Sunday, yikes). But I think the fact that they have escalated your issue is good, last time I called, they gave me a standard non-answer (your application is still under review and you will be notified when a decision has been made etc).

I think there's two possible reasons, one, perhaps your case is not a straight forward application or two, you're just plain unlucky (e.g. trainee decision officer or a huge amount of people paid priority after you - skeptical about this possibility as I got the confirmation email from SHEFO on 4th July too but got my visa on 16th July :? ).

Good luck!

Thanks for the respond. Good to hear you get your visa early. It helps a lot mentally to have it done early.

I believe my background shouldn't be an issue and my country is usually fast track for uk visa. Also got my university's visa adviser to check with ukvi. So I'm hoping they will get back to me soon.

Since you’re waiting on an update I presume you chose the priority service for your visa? Which country are you applying from? We share the same timeline and I chose priority service and hopefully I get it by this week
