Switching from Tier-2

Hi,

currently was on Tier 2 visa,our company license is revoked in jan 2018.Till now i didn't receive curtailment letter.
My wife got Uni admission and she got Tier 4 and now i am planning to convert as Tier-4 dependent.
-> shall i convert as Tier 4 dependent from Uk itself ?

also I am worrying how this 9 months affects my ILR (10 years root)application due in 2019.
