TfL bye law

Post by Sdhynwgl » Thu Apr 21, 2022 5:47 am

Hello all,
I am going to apply for graduate visa(psw), I have successfully completed the course.
I have a bye law conviction on me by TfL, which I am
Going to declare on my application.
What are my chances of visa acceptance, as I read this is a non recordable offence.

TFL cannot convict you, only a court can.

A Fixed Penalty Notice that you paid and did not contest will have no bearing on the outcome of your application.

What was the conviction for? What was the sentence?

According to the rules if a migrant has been convicted of a criminal offence in the UK or overseas for which they have received a non-custodial sentence, or received an out-of-court disposal that is recorded on their criminal record permission may be refused.

However if, as you say, the offence was not put on your criminal record it should not affect the outcome of your application but you MUST DECLARE IT.

Didn’t they give you an option of paying the fine, without having to go to court?

@vinny No!
They told me i would get a mail from them.
In the mail it was about the prosecution, was very scared didn’t even heard that word before most of my life.
Later got again mail to plead guilty or not guilty,
Pleaded guilty, got the fine, paid the fine.

Hello,
Yes I did some research, here and in other websites aswell,
Learnt it’s a non recordable offence, it was very confusing recordable, non recordable.
Declared it on my application as a criminal conviction,
Waiting for the reply from the HO.
