Tier 4 leave to enter

I went to UK in sept 2018 on a tier 4 student visa with 2 years duration. But my visa got curtailed to one year. University told me my new expiry date is Feb end 2020 but UKVI had still not sent me a curtailment letter. I had to leave UK by Feb end and yesterday I received letter from UKVI telling that my new expiry date is 9th may 2020.

Now I have 2 months left for visa to expire. Can I go back to UK and search for Tier 2 jobs? I am in a very confused situation.

Your visa has already expired. Curtailed leave lapses when you leave the UK. Your curtailment letter should say something like

If you leave the UK your leave to enter or remain will lapse under Article 13(3) of the Immigration (Leave to Enter and Remain) Order 2000 and you may require a visa to enter the UK.

What if i go with a document saying i am going to give interview for Tier 2 job

You would need a new Standard Visitor visa for that.
