I have applied for Tier 4 uk student visa as per priority - Should receive decision within 5 working days. Today is the 13th working today, and didnt hear back from them yet.

My timeline:

Biometrics + Interview : 18 July
Email stating that application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre: 19 July

Anyone else experiencing delay? Please advise

I tried to call their number +44 203 481 1736, with no answer (I keep getting answering machine). Can someone advise of a number I can contact on?

Instead of calling UKVI directly, I would suggest you contact the international student advisers at your university. They will be able to get in touch with UKVI on your behalf and it’s easier for them to reach UKVI because each uni has an immigration representative at the decision making center.

Good luck

I got the Bio the same day (standard application) and I´m still waiting... but I received the ECO email on the 25th. I believe there are some delays in the process.
I also got the answering machine but it was to tell me that I had to pay for the call, and enter my credit card... you didn´t even got that message?

Yes, I applied on the 15th/16th July . I got the mail from UKVI that my application has been received on the 20th . it's the 16th working day since then and there's nothing yet. I've tried calling to enquire abt my application this morning, but couldn't go further since I deactivated my debit card lol...I'll just wait
Email your university and ask if UKVI have used your CAS or not ? I contacted mine they said that CAS has not been used yet .

I had a refusal in a UK Visitor Visa ,so just state that you were refused in the application form and it will hopefully be fine. That’s what I did.

The priority service normally shouldn't take so long. And yeah, you have the right phone number. I'd suggest you keep trying until there's someone to pick ur call.
All the best!
I guess It depends on the time u apply. Last year when I applied the Tier 4 Visa, it was at the end of august and it was my first time. It took 16 working days to process and get my visa (It was priority service as well) . This time I applied at the last week of July and got my visa within 4 working days (in PV) . So I guess It is a case by case review and if they are not suspicious and if this is your second or third time and if all of your previous visas to the UK (If u have ever applied to one ) were successful, they will process it ASAP. Now its actually getting busy at Sheffield with all the applications coming for undergrad degrees. So it will take some time .

Hey guys

I’m also waiting for an answer over my application.
Follow my timeline:
03 July: online application (priority service)
11 July: attended the interview and handed the documents at VFS São Paulo
17 July: got the confirmation that the application was being prepared for consideration of an ECO

Since then I haven’t heared anything else from the office.
My next plan is to ask the uni if my cas has already been used, and afterwards call UKVI directly, since it’s been 15 working days since they received my application.

Hope we all get our visas guys, good luck to you all that are still waiting as I am!
Cheers

I'd wanted to call UKVI on Monday, but couldn't go through with it because of the card payment. However, I was contacted by my uni few hours later that a decision has been made on my application, to which I informed them that there's no email from UKVI yet. I was Contacted again on Tuesday and told the same story(no email from UKVI). I'll just have to wait . Apparently, a decision has been made on my application. Today marks the 18th day of waiting. Hoping to receive an email from UKVI soon, confirming my visa has been issued!

Hello everyone,

Date of application: 7 July 2018
Date of bio-metrics: 9 July 2018
Application received by Sheffield Decision Making Centre: 10 July 2018

They emailed me for TB certificate on 12th of July but I forgot to check my email and they emailed me again yesterday. The thing is I'm from Saudi Arabia and TB testing is not required. I think Home Office made a mistake.

I have contacted them and received no replies. I am very worried, I don't know what is going to happen. :(
For those interested to know the updates, received decision email yesterday, and VFS SMS for passport collection today. I opted for courier so I will receive my passport soon, hopefully.

I don't know yet what is the decision. Fingers crossed.

My timeline is as follows:
PRIORITY APPLICATION
Online application-18th July
Biometrics, submission and interview-24th July
Called UKVI on Friday-apparently decision was made on the 30th of July

I still haven’t received my passport, which is quite frustrating. I only applied through the fast track route because I was planning to travel to Singapore this coming Saturday. I don’t know why on earth they’re taking so long, and why there is such a lapse in time between the decision making date and the arrival of the passport.

I confronted the VFS staff yesterday and their response was that it’s still in Chennai. Surely, if the Sheffield UKVI centre is the decision making body why is Chennai taking so long to send the passport back?

Hope everyone who’s received their passports have got the visa! :)
