Hello,
Applying from Dubai.

Priority application
Timeline:
29 June - online application submitted
3 July - Biometrics and handing in documents (( No interview, was told by VFS that I will receive a call (from them or ukvi not sure)in few days for an interview))
3 July - SMS from VFS that application and document was forwarded to UKVI

No contact whatsoever from UKVI regarding interview or application and today marks the 7th working day. I was told by VFS employee on 3rd of July that priority application from his experience that 95% are done in 5 working days.
What worries me is that they have my passport and family is planning to travel to the UK and Europe on the 1st of August for tourism, and I am afraid I won't make it. I have another citizenship but can't be used as its not Visa-free for UK and Schengen.
My question is, has there been instances were Visa is granted without Interview? and what are my chances of receiving my passport and visa before the first of August?
Since it is a priority application, I'm pretty sure you will get your passport before the end of July. And Yes, I have seen people get a visa without passing the credibility interview (though it was for a super priority application)
I suggest you call UKVI. Saves you a lot from the stress

I am in a similar situation. I applied at the TLSContact center in Tel Aviv, and was expecting an interview. However, they just collected my documents and biometrics without any mention of an interview whatsoever. I applied priority, and they told me that I would hopefully have a decision within 5-10 working days.

Timeline (Priority Application):
Online application submission: 06 July
Document Submission & Biometrics (no interview): 10 July
TLSContact Says the documents have been transferred to UKVI: 11 July
TLSContact tracking shows the application was received by UKVI: 12 July
Email from Sheffield saying that my application has been received and is being prepared for consideration: 12 July

I suppose it is possible that they have chosen not to interview us? Or will we likely get invited in on a different date to sit for an interview?

Whether you need to attend an interview has nothing to do with where and when you submit your application. UKVI will write to you if you need to attend one. It is not done at the time of submitting at TLS as they are only a third party handling agent.

Are all non-"Low Risk" nationals invited for interviews by UKVI prior to being issued a visa, or are there circumstances in which a non-"Low-Risk" national is granted a tier 4 visa without being interviewed?

There is no definitive, it depends on your application on whether you are invited for an interview or not.

I just received SMS from Vfs stating that my processed application has arrived and is ready for collection. I will collect it on Sunday and hopefully update you with good news. Weirdly my application has been processed with no email from Sheffield whatsoever or an interview, which is weird to me since every single one of my friends has been interviewed at the same time of giving biometrics. Hopefully, you will receive good news soon. What University are you going to?

From the information you've given, I don't see any anomalies with your application. You called UKVI and you've been asked to wait for the normal 15 working days. Counting from July 3 to now is 9 working days.
I'll assume by case you mean CAS. The fact that your CAS has been used is normal because a CAS number can only be used once and in case you have to (hopefully not) make another visa application with the same university and the same course, the university will have to issue you a new CAS.
Just be patient

Like most people, it is perfectly OK to be interviewed once. However, UKVI will contact you if they need more clarifications on your application.

Timeline (Normal Application):
Online application submission: 06 July
Document Submission & Biometrics: : 12 July
(Interview was conducted, everyone in my country gives it right at the submission center. Was asked the following questions; course start date, why course, why uk, why the university, future plans. I am told if only such questions are asked, interview is good? is this true?)
Center texted the documents have been transferred to UKVI: 12 July
Email from Sheffield saying that my application has been received and is being prepared for consideration: 13 July

Fingers crossed

-I received no emails from UKVI whatsoever
-I was not interviewed

Good luck all on your application and hopefully, you will get your Tier 4 visa asap.
where are you form? ielts score ?
Syrian/Grenadian

I got an 8.5 on the IELTS but did not submit it with my application as I found out that my country is exempt from proof of English proficiency.

Since it is a priority application, I'm pretty sure you will get your passport before the end of July. And Yes, I have seen people get a visa without passing the credibility interview (though it was for a super priority application)
I suggest you call UKVI. Saves you a lot from the stress
Hi applied online 28june
Bio metric plus interview 2july
Called ukvi today thy said wait until 15 working days complete application still under process

Called university they said my case is been use I have not recieved any second interview call can anyone update ukvi use case after first interview is it a good sign??.

Please guide.
Hi wiki thanks for your reply.

Yes it’s typo mistake wrote case it’s cas indeed just one more things can ukvi refuse someone on the casis on 1st interview ??i have not received any second interview call please update my course start is 1st August.
Did you get your visa yet?

Hello there !
I am going to apply on this month. Can anyone tell me is it affect to get visa if you have study gap. I have 3 years study gap. is there anyone get visa with ielts overall score 5.5. I m from Bangladesh.
There is no problem if you have a justification for the 3 years (e.g work). However, the university you're applying to has the last say on this. So, it'll be best you ask them, same for the ielts
