I want to tell you about my visa application process because I hope it will help someone
I had to apply from Istanbul-Turkey because there is no British Embassy in my country.
So I submitted my documents on 27th of August in TLS in Istanbul I also had my interview the same day. on 28th of August I got the email from UKVI that they have received my documents. I used the keep my passport option so in the email they also mentioned that they will email me the results of my application and if I got the visa they would email me and tell when can I give my passport to TLS again to be sent to UKVI for the visa stamp. In TLS they said it is a very busy time and it probably would take more than 15 working days ( I did not apply for priority visa) . There was no email. On 24th of September I called UKVI and asked them about my application. They said the decision was made on 14th of September. and they will escalate my case to see what the problem was . I also called TLS but they said the application is still under process ( they did not even know that the decision was made). On 25th of September I got email from my Uni which said that my BRP is ready for collection so I knew I got the visa( still no email from UKVI). I called UKVI 2 more times the last time they told me there is nothing I can do , I should wait for the email, if i did not get the email in 12 working days I can call UKVI again to escalate my case again. It was really frustrating. My classes started on August 24th and I had to pay for my accommodation from 15th of September. So I decided to go to Istanbul and wait there. On October 1st I went to TLS Istanbul. They also told me I have to wait for the email from UKVI . But after begging and arguing for about 30 minutes I convinced them to send my passport to the embassy. They said if the visa is ready it will be attached to my passport. So my passport was sent to the embassy on October 2nd. I waited until Wednesday October 3rd and went to TLS again. You can not believe this I got my passport with the visa which was issued on September 14th and it expires on October 14th. which is in 10 days. STILL NO EMAIL FROM UKVI. but I got my visa.
I honestly do not know how this is possible. I don't know it was luck or not but thanks god I got my visa.for all of you still waiting or want to apply I have some tips :
1. After 15 working days for standard application and 5 working days for priority applications you can call UKVI and ask about your case. do not wait longer to call. Because they might have made the decision in that time.
2. do not wait for emails. They probably have a lot of applicants and forget to send some people emails. go to TLS or VFS . and ask about your case.
3. Ask you university to contact UKVI.
4. do not just sit and wait 30 days for your visa. call anyone who can help. Call UKVI , TLS, university and ...
I do not know if this has happened to anyone else. But I am shocked. I did not get any emails after the email that said they have received my documents
