Tier2 ICT dependent to Tier 4 student

Post by rockey5520 » Wed Mar 25, 2020 7:08 pm

Hi,

I am in Tier2 ICT dependent VISA and am planning to study in a UK university for masters.

1. Am I allowed to switch into the Tier 4 student visa in the UK ?
2. Can my husband continue to switch into Tier 4 depended from tier 2 ICT visa in the UK ?

Many thanks in advance

1. No. https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/ ... -this-visa

2. Yes, once you have a tier 4.

It depends when you will be applying.

Under the normal Rules, the answer is no as advised above. You must apply in your home country. But because of the current travel restrictions due to coronavirus there are special concessions in place for those switching to a "long term" visa who could not normally do so from within the UK. The concessions are only currently in place until 31 May 2020, but it is possible they may be extended.
