My sis applied for visa on 10 july from isb, pk for her Masters degree in Uni of Leicester. I asked her to contact uni on Friday and it looks like uni contacted HO and because of that, she has received automated/standard email from HO:

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Did you contact your Uni International Office? If not
I think you need to contact your university "International Office" email id. There's address on your uni website, you should touch with them because I used the same to contact my uni for visa issues. They may give the better answers for you. Try it!

Well yes!!

I applied on 10th of July still waiting... dang I'm done😆

Today I went to VFS to Check whether my passport has been returned by a chance, no luck at all 😫 And they were really helpless. They said you will be informed by mssg and email to collect your passport.

So what am going to do is wait... until they get back to me 😐.
Keep updating guys 🙌🏽

I contacted VFS global to enquire whether there is a way to contact the VFS global Colombo, and I this is the reply I got.

Dear Sir/Madam, We understand that you would like to know about the Status of the Application. We would like to inform you that upon reviewing, we see that you have submitted your application with reference GWFXXXXXXXXX on 13th of July 2017 for a PBS Tier 4 and the application is under process. Furthermore, kindly note that VFS Global no longer provides visa information services to UK visa applicants. If you have any further clarifications with regards to your application, about UK visa policy, procedures and/or application processing, please visit www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi for details on how to contact the new UK visas customer contact Centre.

^ No point in writing to them. They'll just tell you the same.. "Your application is still under review. You can't contact us. We are not involved in the decision making".

So I have phoned the International Enquiry Service 4 hours ago and get a confirmation that they have made a decision on my application (yeah!), but they might take 10 more working days for the decision to reach me (wtf!?).

I have applied with priority service from Japan on 17 September. Unfortunately, the Visa is being processed in the Philippines (wtf Japan? You are supposed to have everything) and there are like 3 public holidays during that period (just kill me).

Anyone has a similar experience or any idea why it would take another 10 days for they to process that Visa? The staff refuses to comment on anything other than the fact that they have made a decision on my application (sad) and that my information has been added on their database on 1 September.
