It is from the appointment day, according to what UKVI told me when I called them.
Thank you for your reply! Not really what I wanted to hear but I guess it's good to be prepared for the worst. Did you use the priority service as well?
Yes, I used Priority and had my Biometrics on 18th August, today is the 15th day... So I am waiting for any information :(
Damn... I hope it all goes well for you! My uni's latest enrollment date is 6 October and I'm really afraid of missing that deadline
Good luck, I will keep you updated and let's see if UKVI can accomplish the 15 working day service with priority.

This is what my university told meh. I applied on July 19th and yesterday I got mess that my case is not straightforward and today when I asked to university they send me this ...what I should do now I don't know😫

Hi Avinash

Thank you for your email. Please be advised I have contacted UKVI and have been advised that your application is being actively assessed by a caseworker. You may be contacted about your application so please ensure that you are actively checking your emails/correspondence.

Hi, for those of you whose visas were approved, did you convert the maintenance funds in your bank statements into GBP?

I did not convert my maintenance funds and got approved. Don't think it's that big of a deal! Don't worry

Hello everyone

I've been a quiet reader all these time that I was waiting for my visa to be issued. I received my visa and collected my passport today finally. And just want to share some of my experiences that may or may not help those who are still waiting.

This may seem unfair to many but here's my experience/timeline:

I had bio/scanned on the 14th aug in Cambodia.
I received the message that the application was forwarded to ukvi on the 14th aug.
I didn't receive any news or update so I decided to seek help from my university on the 5th sept via email and call.

The guy who replied to my email (on the 6th sept) said that he tracked for me and that my cas was still at "assigned" stage. Which means it hasn't been decided.

A few hours later, the guy who replied to my call (on the 6th sept) said me that their account manager had contacted the officers for me. He confirmed that my visa was approved and I should expect calls from them the next few days.

Today (7th sept) I received a text message saying that my passport is ready for collection.

I didn't receive any email/message from ukvi in between the day I submit till the day I received my passport.

Maybe try to get the school to call the ukvi instead of asking them to check for your cas status?
I hope this somehow brings some hope to those who are still waiting! All the best of luck!
Hi, may I know if you applied with priority service or standard service?

I applied for standard, vfs in Cambodia doesn't give priority service option.

Fellow Turkish applicant here. Seems like 15 working days are the new standard processing time for priority applications. Do you think there is any possibility the process may speed up in September?

In Turkey we have to go to the agency named tlscontact for UK visa applications and I got mail from tlscontact about the decision and mail for getting passport back. I never called UKVI and the uk visa online tracker doesn't works.

I got the passport and the visa approved. I bought a flight ticket for tomorrow half an hour ago. My visa is valid from: 04/09/2017 so that means the English Consultant in Turkey got to many decisions while we are in EID holiday. They told me that Sheffield gets quicker but now the English Consultant in Turkey gets slower. I hope it will be fixed as soon.

Anyone from pakistan or country with similar vac services can advise on collection information. Would vac email you or send text and would they give a specific time for collection or you can collect any time between 8am to 5pm.

Urgent advise needed. Thanks in advance.

Hi Stu123

I have submitted a settlement Visa application for my wife in Pakistan to come to the UK.

She received the following text message and email.

" The processed visa application for GWF reference number - GWFXXXXXXXXX was receuved at the UK Visa Application Centre on 07/09/17. ( Received in TEXT AND EMAIL)
If a courier service was purchased from VFS Global, your processed application will be delivered to the chosen address. If not, your documents can be collected during the designated passport collection times.
Please note this is an auto generated email. Please do NOT reply to this email. "

I had some contacts in Pakistan Mirpur where the application and biometrics took place. We managed to make contact with the application centre and was told NOT to travel to the application centre and that they would be informing my wife via a phone call when to come and collect the processed application.

As of yet I dont know what the decision is, I guess we will find out when my wife goes to Mirpur to collect her processed application. Anybody else in this position. Please advise. Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Please do not post spouse settlement visa applications posts/comments/questions in this topic which is for Tier 4 Student visa application delays only.

There is a dedicated spouse visa delay topic in the Family Immigration sub forum.
