Turn around on Tier5 application in Canada?

Post by ghostfacedninja » Sat Nov 14, 2009 11:07 pm

My wife is applying for a tier 5 working holiday visa to come to the UK to be with me from Canada. As she is under the age of 21 this seems the easiest route.
We have filled in the application and paid for it. She has to submit her documents to them as soon as possible. Including her passport. The problem is that we are both going to Holland as visitors in late december. Despite numerous emails to them asking how long we can expect them to keep her passport, all they answer with is spam stuff about most applications being rejected due to incomplete paperwork.
Can anyone tell us roughly how long it takes in Canada at the moment? Knowing the Canadian mail system as we do, we're expecting the documents to take roughly a week to return.

should be about right - they usually say give it 10 days. Should take 3-5 at the High Comm plus to and fro by courier.

If you send the documents by FedEx the document would probably take about 4 days to get there, maybe less if you pay a premium for faster service.
