UKBA Enquiries

I just e-mailed an enquiry to the UKBA Enquiry Address as I wanted a responce in writing, only to be sent an automated responce telling me they will not be replying and giving basic info all that is available online. Whats the point in this?
Anyone know of another e-mail address for spouse visa enquirys?
