UKTier 4 scholarship sponsored visa to Tier 2 dependant visa

Post by tanmaykale » Wed Jul 29, 2015 4:41 pm

Hi,

I am currently on a UK tier 4 scholarship sponsored visa and looking to switch to Tier 2 general dependant visa status. I looked at the Tier 2 dependant application form and did not see the requirement for a permission letter from my sponsor organisation. Is it essential to have a permission letter from the sponsor?

Is there anyone else here who has gone through a similar process/ knows about a similar case?

What are the potential problems and the chances for me to be able to do such a switch?

Is it advisable to do it in the UK or back in India?

Is there a way to do this without having permission letter from sponsor/scholarship organisation? Does the ECHR's right to family life help with this?

Thanks for the help and guidance in advance!

This thread is over 1 year old and tanmaykale only posted once.
