UKVCAS appointment queries.

Post by NeshyK01 » Sat Mar 12, 2022 7:13 pm

Hello,
I've submitted my citizenship application online last weekend and now have to make a UKVCAS appointment. I have a few queries regarding their appointment, document checking and scanning processes.

- Is it okay if I make the UKVCAS appointment upto a month after the date I submit the citizenship application online? There doesn't seem to be many slots left in the UKVCAS center closest to me.

- is the UKVCAS document scanning service worth the money? I've been given a list of documents to submit, but I know that the Home Office may want to see further documents (e.g., my old passport which has my previous visas, Self-Assessment Tax return statements, etc.). I'm concerned that I won't be able to submit these additional items if I go with their document scanning service.

- does the UKVCAS document checking service include checking the additional documents as well? Or just the documents on the list given to me?

- if I upload my documents onto the UKVCAS website about a week or two before my appointment, will they check my documents asap, so I have time to make any amendments or corrections? Or only right before my appointment?

May thanks,
Neshy

Hello,
I've submitted my citizenship application online last weekend and now have to make a UKVCAS appointment. I have a few queries regarding their appointment, document checking and scanning processes.

- Is it okay if I make the UKVCAS appointment upto a month after the date I submit the citizenship application online? There doesn't seem to be many slots left in the UKVCAS center closest to me. Not sure what the timing requirement is but it's quite common that appointments can be hard to secure, especially free ones, so ASAP.

Can't comment on the document scanning service. Why don't you just load all your documents yourself for free? Note that UKVCAS do not check whether documents are correct for the application, they are not UKVI case workers and not involved in the actually consideration of your application. Note also that there's a minimum of documents required - they certainly don't need your old passports/visa..

- does the UKVCAS document checking service include checking the additional documents as well? Or just the documents on the list given to me? They don't "check" the documents per above.

- if I upload my documents onto the UKVCAS website about a week or two before my appointment, will they check my documents asap, so I have time to make any amendments or corrections? Or only right before my appointment? I think all documents need to be load latest 48 hrs before your appointment. As mentioned they don't check the documents as such, only perhaps whether your uploads are clearly readable ....

May thanks,
Neshy
