UKVI Refund or other options?

I made an application for settlement to be with my husband in the UK in August 2014 and had my supporting documents sent via Special Delivery post by my husband to:

International Operations and Visas
6 Millsands
Vulcan House
Sheffield
S3 8NH
United Kingdom

After numerous email and phone requests, on 29 May, 2015, I FINALLY was notified that my application had been received but there were no supporting documents received.

I've searched many places but cannot find a definitive answer, so I'm looking to you guys for help.

Should I:

A. Ask for a refund of all fees and include a demand for compensation for the replacement of my passport?
B. Ask for someone to search for my documents that were sent at 6 Millsands?
C. Anything else?

I'm honestly out of options and ideas and could use some advice in the matter. The amount of time I've had to wait is atrocious and I want to be with my husband!
