UNDOCUMENTED NON EU CITIZEN MARRIED TO A EU CITIZEN.

hi!i am an undocumented african asylum seeker married to a EU citizen.
we have been allowed to get married even though i had applied for asylum without providing documents.
if it comes that my asylum case is turned down,does the fact that i am married to an EU citizen prevent me of a possible deportation?
what are my chances to obtain a stay here on the ground of marriage if i provide a passport that i can get from the embassy?

The marriage visa laws and regulations of the country of your spouse will determine many of your options.

Your immigration & (non-)criminal history will determine other possibilities.

You can travel and stay (even work) throughout the EU as the spouse of an EU citizen. But, I believe you will need the spouse visa from the spouses country (look into it .. may not always be true). Travel into/through, residence in and work in EU countries as a spouse are three separate conditions, each with their own rules.

Restrictions that I can think of are if the EU citizen is from Romania or Bulgaria or one of the Eastern EU States ... there are restrictions in some countries regarding work and residence.


If the marriage is subsisting, get the marriage visa and live a happy life together. Emphasis on 'together;' in many cases you will need to live in the spouses home country or physically be with the spouse to take advantage of EU agreements.
