Unique Situation, A Little Help or Advice Please

Post by bw3 » Mon Sep 20, 2010 2:22 am

Hello all, as you can see I am new to this forum but it seems to be a great resource. I wanted to explain my situation and see if anyone could offer me some advice. I am an US Citzen that was awarded my post graduate degree from Newcastle University in October of 2009. I was on a student Visa that expired in January of 2010.

I was recently offered a job in the UK, and really want to accept the job with an expected start date of November 1st 2010. However I have only had the 2,800 British Pounds in my account for less then a month, in antipation of getting thos job.

So basically I have the job, I have the degree, and want to be in the UK as soon as possilbe. What should I do?

On top of that I have a British girlfriend that has an US green card, but is s till attending University in Newcastle. I am not sure if that plays a role, but what should I do?

Thanks for any help.

Thank you for replying. Is there any other route you might suggest taking?
