University admission while ILR is in process

Hlo everyone, i submitted my ILR application yesterday ( after being on spouse dependent visa and completing 5 yrs) since priority service is not available anymore so i might have to wait for 6 months to get decision. Now i am supposed to join university this September.. in case i don't get decision till Sept can the university cancel my admission? I have already paid the deposit. Please someone guide me if there are any other options i can try i want to really want to go university this year.

In this scenario, you may have to apply as an international fees payer and may receive offers on that basis. As and when your ILR confirmation comes through, you would provide this to the university involved and they would review your fee status. The university may not give you an offer or make it conditional on the fact that you must provide evidence of valid leave before starting your course. I suggest seeking advice from the prospective university.

I do not think your ILR can take that long if it is straightforward

Yes they will not give me unconditional offer until my ILR comes my case is straight forward though so i hope to get it in 8 weeks time but due to Ukraine war immigrants it might be delayed as home office is quite busy atm. In case it doesn't come till September you think university can cancel my admission? I have payed half the fee already to secure a place.. do i have any right here? I am going to speak to university too

UKVI has dedicated teams that deal with different visa routes, so the Ukrainian crisis should have no bearing on your case timeframe. I cannot comment on what the university would do
