Unmarried partner as dependent under tier 2 visa

My boyfriend will be going to the UK to work under the Tier 2 (general) visa and I intend to move there to be with him during his stint in the UK.
My main concern is if I will be eligible to apply as his dependent under unmarried partner category for his Tier 2 (general) visa. We have been staying together for more than two years and we have documents to prove our relationship.

We have:
- 1.5 years rental agreement
After 1.5 years we moved to his parents home for about 10 months (I have letters from my work place addressed to that address for 6 months)
- Joint bank account for more than two years

Please advise if above documents are strong enough to prove our relationship. If not what else do I need.

In the event that my application for unmarried partner is rejected will I be barred for a period of time from applying another type of visa?

I don't know the answer specifically but unmarrieds are always scrutinised deeply so you definitely need 100% concrete evidence, duly notarised.
