UnMarried Partner visa - Do partner have to be employed

Post by nchowdhury » Sun Mar 30, 2008 4:20 pm

I am opening new topic for this I hope nobody mind.

I will be going back to my home country to apply under unmarried partner.
Situation with me. I am working and supporting my partner (UK citizen). I have 2 years daughter born in UK. I came under HSMP and now I don't qualify and my application is been refused with no right to appeal. I am living with my partner since last 4 years.

Now my partner is my sponsor therefore do I need to show that my partner is working full time?
If yes then I am in trouble
If not necessary then how much minimum balance should be in the bank.
Your advice and suggestion will be much appreciated.

OR

Should I apply under dependant employment visa?

Thanks and regards
N. Chowdhury

See also 13.14 - Unmarried (i.e. opposite sex) and same-sex partners and how they qualify. You have to show that, as a couple, you will have adequate means of maintenance, etc.

I don't think that dependant employment visa will be applicable because your partner is not in an employment category.
