Unmarried Partners - evidence for joint commitment

Post by lichung » Fri May 07, 2010 12:09 am

Me and my partner have been living together for 3 years. The sort of joint commitments that I can think of include property rent (utility bill paid by landlord) and council tax. I can provide rental agreement and council tax bill with our names on them. - Do they count as evidence for and satisfy the joint commitments requirement or do I actually need to provide more evidence?

thanks for the list

I am applying dependant visa for work permit holder and need to use the FLR(O) form which does not have the list. I am not sure if the list on FLR(M) can also be used for FLR(O).

Rent and council tax are good examples – provide more if you have them, such as joint bank accounts or investments, joint purchases or payments, pension or will documents naming the other person as beneficiary, or even (softer evidence) things like joint gym membership payments or bank records showing money transfers between you (for rent etc).
