Unpaid Leave = Break in employment ??

Post by vgneshm » Wed Sep 23, 2009 2:11 pm

Hi,

I have received my Certificate of Sponsorship for Tier-2 Intra-company transfer. I've been on Unpaid Leave for last 30 days due to personal reasons and due to the delay in getting Certificate of Sponsorship (which took around 15 days in my case). Will the unpaid leave (1 month) be considered as Break in Employment? Is there any limit on the number of days for Unpaid leave (like 90 days, 6 months etc.) before it is considered as Break in Employment?
Since I was on unpaid leave for last one month, I won't be able to submit my pay slip which has not been generated during the unpaid leave period.

Any advise/suggestion will be of great help.

Thanks.

Thanks tvn_ramesh.

I work for an A rated sponsor. My employment with the company is still active. The company that I work for, provided me the CoS. I'm still employed with the same company. I've been on unpaid leave for last 30 days for personal reasons.

Hi I think the unpaid leave below 60 days is fine when it comes to application for ILR.
