I made my application for Dependant Partner - Skilled Worker visa in Jan'24 and my current visa expires in April. I had received an acknowledgement stating that the decision should be expected by 1st Mar. However I have still not had the decision nor received any communication post that. I called up UKVI helpline, but the only advise was to send an email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk and wait. I did that on 1st Mar but still haven't heard back.
All my previous applications (dependant, tourist visas prior) have been processed without any hassle or questions whatsoever and the only change in personal circumstances is that my partner is now a British Citizen.
In such as case:
1. what to do if I need to travel outside UK for personal reasons The ongoing application will be treated as withdrawn if you travel and you lose the fees
2. if new visa doesn't come before current expiry, how does it affect right to work? It does not, you continue to retain same rights as currently held
3. what are my options to escalate the case? Lodge a complaint or wait for the outcome of the one already lodged.
Thanks in advance
Thanks for prompt response!AmazonianX wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 4:09 amdemirider wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 12:08 amHello gurus
