Urgent - Application Process for Protugal Citizenship

Hello,

I am in urgent need of advice and help. My husbands family deceased father-in-law, and mother-in-law had applied for Portuguese citizenship from Goa, India. The process took years (nearly 5-7). Now, my husband and his twin brother applied for the Portuguese citizenship in Feb 2011. If someone could please help me to let me know how long does it take for the application process to complete so that I along with my daughter can apply as dependants. Currently, we are living in the UK on a Tier 1 General Migrant Visa which will expire shortly, hence I'am desperately seeking help as my daughter will be starting school.

Any comments or suggestions are welcomed.
