Urgent Assistance Required for Tier 2 Visa Extension

Hello All,

Please I need the assistance of the experienced members of the forum. Here goes my predicament:
I got my Tier 2 (General) Visa in Feb 2013 after switching from PSW under SOC 2132 (SOC 2000) as a Graduate Developer but this code is no longer available due to the change to SOC 2010 with SOC 2135, 2136 and 2139 the only options available to me.
The big question goes thus, my employer is willing to issue CoS under 2139 but the latest Shortage Occupation list has some notes under this code (please see below)
Sponsors must apply to be considered as a “qualifying company”. New sponsors can do so
by completing an additional 1-page form when applying for a Tier 2 sponsor licence.
Existing sponsors can apply using the “Sponsor Change of Circumstances” form.

I'm at a crossroads as i do not know if this is applicable to my employer or not seeing as there is a clause on HO's website (Tier 2 Policy Guidance (Version 11/2015) Page 24) which states:
Your job does not have to meet the skills thresholds described in the previous three
paragraphs if:
 you are applying to extend your leave in Tier 2 (General) in order to continue to work in
the same occupation for the same sponsor;
 your certificate of sponsorship in your previous application was assigned to you before 6
April 2013; and
 the job does not meet the skills threshold solely because of the reclassification from SOC
2000 to SOC 2010.

Please help a brethren out!!!
