URGENT-can i enter UK on WHMvisa now I have applied for HSMP

Post by NZ_engr » Fri May 28, 2004 11:46 pm

Hi all
I applied for HSMP from New Zealand and my application was received on 8 March 2004. My ref no is 163**.
I am leaving NZ on Monday and am travelling to London, arriving on 29 June 2004. I intend to enter the UK on my working holiday maker visa but I am wondering if doing so will cause problems with my HSMP processing (when it eventually happens).
I have tried to contact the HSMP team about this but they just gave me a phone no to ring and it is always engaged (not the main HSMP ph no).
Can someone offer some advice??
Cheers

1. Your WHM visa will not be an issue for the HSMP application.

2. Notify the HSMP Team of your new address once you enter the UK. Tell them you are in the UK as a WHM and your application should now be classed as an 'in country' application. Enclose a certified/ notarised copy of your WHM visa as endorsed by the Immigration Officer at the Port of Entry and the bio data page of your ppt. Remember to quote your ref number in all communications.

3. Once HSMP approval comes through then apply for Further Leave (Permission) To Remain in the UK on Form FLR IED available from the working in the UK website - type this in google or any other search engine. The application currently costs GBP 121 and is on a postal basis only.
