Urgent: Can someone recommend a good ILR/Immigration lawyer

Post by GSOtodd » Fri Jan 08, 2010 8:55 pm

I feel there may be some difficulties in 2011 (either when I apply for ILR in January or later on). Can someone recommend a good laywer that can help me when I apply for indefinate leave to remain? There are some situations that I've found out about and it could jepordise my chances of getting ILR in January or December.

Would an immigration lawyer be able to hellp me apply for ILR a month and a half earlier? My Tier 2 visa was extended last July to cover the rest of my five year time until July 3 2011. However, there was a mixup when regarding my very first leave to remain (not work permit) covering me from January 06 to July 06.

Or, does ILR count when the actual permit starts, or the visa?

To put a long story short, I will be short about a month and a half when I apply for ILR, even though I've been on a work permit for five years, non stop. however, they may not count the fact that I was given mixed up information and told that my entry clearance from my last job would suffice when coming back to the UK and worked with Further leave to remain from January 06 to August 06. I could count from August 2006 but that would still leave be that month and a half short due to my extended tier 2 visa expriring on july 3 2011.
