Urgent:Delay in FLR(O) for newborn dependent on work permit

Hello,
I am a resident in the UK under the work permit applied before the points based system came about. I made an application for my newborn daughter(applicant) using the FLR(O) form on the 17th August, upon advice from the UKBA.
I have already requested for urgent processing since my wife (and daughter) are due to travel to India on 28 Nov on family reasons, but was denied since it was not compelling enough.
Now there is a compelling reason - her mom's unwell, and she has to go to India sooner the better. What is the best way to get the UKBA to accelerate my application so that I do receive the passport and the stamped documentation on time?
No amount of calling to their helplines is useful, they keep saying that they cant say what my application status is etc....
Please help...I'm on the verge of panicking....!
