Urgent guidance - Lapse of HSMP letter

Folks,
Due to some family illness, I was not able to go for EC and now my letter has expired for the three months validity.. Is there anyway I can ask for one week extension??

Pls help

no harm in trying. explain your case well to the visa officer assigned to you. it's such a waste of precious approval if they don't consider it.
