urgent help...ILR due on Monday!

Post by wp_to_tier1_168 » Sat Oct 31, 2009 8:37 am

Hello members,

My ILR application is due on Monday.

I'm on 4.5 years WP and a half year Tier1. Since July I have been taking on the current contracting job through an umbrella company.

I have three months of payslips from the company as well as three bank account statements alligned with the payments. I got two letters from the company to confirm my employment status as permanent even though I'm contractor. Both letters explicitly state they are umbrella company. I reckon this is normal as far as umbrella companies are concerned. Well, the only difference is one has mentioned the detailed assignment with end client, such as the period (from July to end of december), job type, and hour rate, while the other hasn't.

Could you please advise me which one is the better for ILR application? my concers are:

1. If I provide the letter with detailed assignment, they might think my current job is only assured by end of December. Although, most likely the current assignment with the end client will be extended, I can't provide any evidence for that.

2. The other one without mention assignment could be ambiguous on my employment status, mainly because they would be aware that the company is an umbrella just providing accountant service to contractors. Without assignment it doen't make sense somehow.

Thanks very much in advace for your help.

if u r under jr review

than no need to give any employers letter than bank statements and paylips

they will ask anything and if u unble to provide than they will retain yr papers and do investigation ( std reply) but u will get yr ILR this is on counter scenario

if u applying by post than bank statements for one year (safer side)
p60 / p45 / pay slips u can mail them and u will be laughing

Thanks Sushil for your reply. I'm not under JR review and applying in person on Monday. Sorry I didn't quite get your answer regarding my specific question on the employment letter from umbrella company.

Hi,

could you please let me know the status of your application, whether it got approved or not!

I am working my notice period now, and I may or may not be able to get my 3 months payslips for applying ILR on apr 1st..So I am thinking of going on the route of self-employment/contracting. My notice period is upto Feb 13th..but company might pay off everything by Dec 31st and not ask to work rest of the period, so in that case I might not get Jan/Feb payslips also...otherwise if I get Jan/Feb, I only need to show for March.

Thanks,
VT
