My company's HR department only confirmed to me that they certified maintenance on the CoS; they said there was no other field wherein they could state that they will maintain and accommodate me up to the end of the first month of employment in the UK; just an option that they ticked. This is a bit confusing, as first of all it's not explicitly stated on the CoS. Secondly I'm already in the UK and have been working for the same company for over an year on a Tier 1 (PSW) visa.M4. you if they have stated on the Certificate
of Sponsorship that they will maintain and
accommodate you up to the end of your
first month of employment in the UK. Your
sponsor may limit the amount it is prepared
to fund but the amount must be at least
£900, or £945 if applying on or after 1 July
2014.
Please contact your sponsor if you
are unsure whether they are certifying
maintenance for you.
Would it not be better to provide evidence of funds myself in Section O, even after selecting YES as an answer in section M4? I already have my bank statements for the past 3 months to prove maintenance. If not, do I need to ask my company's HR department to provide me a letter that I can send as a supporting document? Please note there's nothing in the T2 Guidance document that suggests any supporting document is required from the employer for this.
