Urgent help needed! Return of documents by 6 April

I applied T1 General extension by post in early March and need to get back documents by end of March. If I request the return of documents today 24 March, it says within 10 working days which is just right before 6 April. If it takes less than 10 working days, it should be fine. But what if overdue? As I need to re-submit by 6 April then how to do it??

Why do you want the documents back and why do you wish to re-submit?
Please provide more details.
