URGENT HELP PLEASE- MY Job title different on COS

Hi,

I have been offered a very tempting contract from a consulting company. Eveything went smoothly..interview, reference, company check, back ground check and they said will send me my contract letter by friday evening as my joining was supposed to be this monday! N

When I called them friday evening as no contract was sent they said, the job title on your COS does not match (my tier 2 is IT company and I am a BA) to our offer letter? My COs says IT consultant where as I am a BA since many years. They had to use that as they are an IT company and cudnt issue a BA COS....

They have asked my tier 2 comapny "Can you change on COS or if you have any other solution and let us know as client has no issues to wait couple of days more". but their legal team has declined to change the cos job title...I am going to take a call tomrow from them to tell my tier 2 company legal team said they cant change job title on COS as it will mean new sposnorship...which they wont do..can someone please suggest me what can be done? what are options? Can consultancy change job title on offer/contract letter ? They are just worried if UKBA checks it might be problem for them. Can someone help or suggest what to do please? Thank you!
