Urgent Query about supporting documentation

Post by 252milton » Mon May 12, 2008 8:40 pm

Hi,

I have been following this forum regularly and find it to be very informative and structured. I had a couple of queries regarding a skilled federal class PR application I made in 2006 June.

MY specific query is about supporting docs. At the time of applying to the London Office I had followed the exact details regarding supporting docs as detailed in the checklist guide provided on the the London Office website
The only issue was that - for Work Exp. I had not been able to provide bank statements. As from 2002 August I had been studying full time in the university and by 2006 when i was ready to apply I had not kept any of the BS's from 2002. Further I had closed down my account in the former bank and moved to another one by end of 2002. At the time of applying in 2006 I had enquired at the bank for duplicate copies of the BS but they said since the account had been closed down for 4 years there was no way they would be able to provide me with the same.
While applying I had explained this situation in detail in a cover letter. I had supplied every other piece of document as listed in the website for work experience.

I was wondering whether I need/can do anything further in this regard? Like arrange for any alternative documents and stuff based on the valuable experience of the forum members. I also have a plan to email the London Office explaining the situation and asking their advice! Would you guys advice me to do that or just wait till they ask for any further docs.

Best Regards,
Milton
