Urgent query for switch into T1G from T2

Post by T12011 » Sun Mar 20, 2011 8:57 am

hi friends,
I have posted my T1G app alongwith my dependent son on 25th Feb 2011.
Got the biometric letter on 8th March 2011. But have got the appointment only at 30th March. The helpline person said it is because of the heavy rush. Want to confirm if this is OK?
After my biometric appointment when sh I expect to get my passport back? by end of april at least? As I am currently on Tier2(ICT), I am likely to move to another address as my current assignment is coming to an end in mid April. Should I use the 'Change of circumstances form' to notify the change in address? I am so tensed as I may have to travel back to India if there is no further assignment. Should I use the 'Change of circumstances form' to change my address to somebody who is permanently here? Pls advise. Thanks.

On after a decision is made on your application. See also Biometric query

Yes, if you change your address before you receive a decision and your documents alongwith ... to make sure that UKBA sends back these to your "current" address.

Thanks Sushdmehta for the reply. I appreciate your quick response.
Just a quick q.. As I am not sure I will be able to stay at the same address till I receive my passport and documents back (whether successful or not), can I provide my friend's address using the 'Change of circumstances form'? Do I have to be staying at that address?

I had provided the Royal mail next day delivery envelope with my current address alongwith paid postage stamps on it. Hope that would not affect the delivery to the new address that I provide using the 'Change of circumstances' form.

Thanks.

Should be okay. Explaining the circumstances in a ashort covering letter may also help.

Hope that UKBA caseworker gets the change in circumstances form, acts accordingly when sending your documents back and uses the SD envelope provided (on which he / she can change the address).
