***Urgent*** Tier 2 dependant - will it be refused?

Hi all,

This is a bit urgent since the main applicant has already started to fill the online form for Tier 2 General. My partner (main app) has received a sponsorship number and the company is urging his arrive.

Due this fact, as we were afraid about my future application - we decided to make our relationship official a bit early than we plan.

We intend to have a civil marriage at 21 March 2014. We already have a civil partnership document ( here in Brazil it calls Stable Union) since August 2013. We have a two year relationship as a couple, but we do not use the same account bank (joint account).

I read about the Stable Union in the UK and seems to be more common for same sex couples. As we are not same sex, we thought that we could hurry our marriage and avoid any troubles.

Due the company's hurry - our marriage document will be issued in 21 March and he will probably hit the "apply" button in the same day and schedule the interview to show the original documentation in the next week.

Do you think this can be problematic? Has someone had a similar case?

We are really afraid about this particular document.

Even if you don't have a joint bank account take other evidence with you to the interview to show that your marriage is genuine and it is not a marriage of convenience. The Stable Union document may or may not be sufficient for this but I am not familiar with its status in Brazil.

Thanks for your reply. We have decided to wait until the Civil Marriage be ready (30 days to get te documment).
