Visa Advice?

Post by irishsaint » Mon Sep 16, 2019 12:48 pm

Hi,

I am UK born citizen & passoport holder - moved to ireland 18 years ago & applied for Irish citizenship Nov 2018.

Reason for this was I was offered a job with the same company in our US offices.

Was under the impression that this would take 6 months or so, no stress.

I am still waiting for my citizenship to come through so still in Dublin.

My company have said I need this to get the US visa sorted, as they are an Irish company, I am required to be an Irish citizen.

I would be going on an E1 Visa through my company, which states I have to be a citizen of the applying country.

Getting to my wits end with it all tbh, wondering if there would be any alternatives that people would know of?
