Can I use my visa/master card issued by indian bank in UK till I get a credit card over there?

I thought there would be some basic limit beyond which you need to declare the amount of money you are carrying. Anyone has info on this?

ns7,

This site has some info on how much money should be declared.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.j ... cash02.xml

even this one has
http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPort ... e=document

- things are changing as I come closer to them. First HSMP rules and fees- then EC fees and integra process and now UK arrival.

Anybody have any ideas. if someone is unable to make expected amount of salary according to new rules, to get extension. What alternative options one needs to think about.

1- What i have explored so far is One can show evening jobs to reach to required total of annual salary.

2- One can show himself as a self employed. (currently looking for things which need to take care to do so. If some on know how , then please share.)

Kindly share your views, so that everyone can plan accordingly.

thanks
