BC via Marraige

Post by Chess » Mon Sep 06, 2004 12:17 pm

Is it a requirement that the person applying for BC via marriage MUST have held ILR for 12months

e.g if a person was a student for 4 years then got married to a BC, then got then 2 year probationary period (i.e 6 years already in the UK)...the person then applies for ILR.

Can the person apply for BC immiditaely or you gotta wait (i.e be on ILR for a year) prior to applying for BC?

Secondly - is it a MUST that at the time of Naturalisation application - the person should still be married? (what happens if the marriage broke down)???
Where there is a will there is a way.
